Product Description
The dsr1003-2 is a helically coiled screw-locking insert that restores or provides machine-screw threads in softer parent materials. This steel insert reinforces threaded joints in airframe structures and equipment mounts where standard tapping would compromise material integrity. Following NAS1130 or MS21209 standards, it installs into a pre-tapped hole using standard insertion tools.
The coiled design allows secure fastening in aluminum, composite, and plastic components while maintaining thread strength under vibration and repeated assembly cycles.
