The G-242 is a Gill/Teledyne dry-charged, 24-volt lead-acid aircraft battery rated at 10 Ah (1-hour rate) and 150 CCA at 0°F. This battery provides engine starting power and electrical backup for general aviation aircraft. Commonly installed on Cessna 172 and similar single-engine aircraft.
The dry-charged design requires electrolyte addition at installation per the aircraft maintenance manual and OEM battery component maintenance manual. FAA-PMA eligible per Gill drawing 1516, meeting certification standards for aircraft electrical systems.
