The md41-1408a is a GPS annunciation control unit for panel-mounted IFR GPS navigators. This 28V horizontal-configuration unit provides mode annunciations and NAV/GPS source switching in compatible aircraft installations. Qualified to RTCA DO-160C and TSO-C129a standards, it interfaces directly with Garmin 400W and 500W navigators.
Installation follows Mid-Continent manual specifications; the MD41-244/248 relay unit may be required for full TSO compliance. Designed for reliable GPS mode indication and navigation source selection during IFR operations.
