The mdm-15 is an aircraft fuse designed to protect electrical circuits from overcurrent conditions. When current exceeds safe limits, the fuse element opens the circuit to prevent equipment damage and fire hazards. This fuse conforms to MIL-PRF-23419 and SAE AS5372 aerospace standards for reliability in avionics and electrical systems.
Installation must follow the aircraft maintenance manual and FAA AC 43.13-1B guidance, with proper sizing and qualified fuse holders required for 14 CFR 25.1357 compliance. Used throughout general and commercial aircraft electrical protection networks.
