The MS21078-7 is a fixed self-locking two-lug anchor nut (nutplate) conforming to Military Standard MS21078. This steel nutplate features a nonmetallic locking insert that prevents fastener loosening under vibration. The two lugs accommodate plain rivet holes for permanent attachment to airframe structures.
Used on access covers and panels where backside wrenching is impractical, the MS21078-7 accepts matching screws for secure, captive threaded connections. Installation follows aircraft maintenance manual specifications for rivet placement and torque requirements.
