Product Description
The NAS509-4C is a 1/4-28 UNJF-3B drilled hex jam nut manufactured from A286 stainless steel. This safety-wired retention nut features three radial holes for safety wire installation, preventing unintended loosening on aerospace assemblies. Commonly used to lock rod ends, fittings, and control linkages in aircraft systems.
Installation requires torquing to specification and safety-wiring through the drilled holes per NAS509 standard and applicable aircraft maintenance manual procedures. The A286 material provides corrosion resistance and high-temperature capability in aviation environments.
