The MS28774-331 is a PTFE backup ring designed to support O-rings and prevent extrusion in high-pressure hydraulic and pneumatic systems. This scarf-cut ring installs on the low-pressure side of the O-ring groove, extending seal life by containing the elastomer under extreme pressure conditions. Following MS28774 specifications for single-turn gland designs per MIL-G-5514, it's used across aerospace fluid system components.
