MS9226-01 is aerospace lock wire for securing bolts, nuts, and turnbuckles against vibration-induced loosening. This stainless steel safety wire conforms to NASM MS9226 specifications and maintains fastener torque retention during flight operations and thermal cycling. Installed through drilled holes in fastener heads using approved safety-wiring methods, the wire creates a mechanical lock that prevents rotation.
Common in aircraft control systems, engine mounts, and structural assemblies where fastener integrity is critical. Installation follows FAA AC 43.13-1B guidance and aircraft maintenance manuals.
