The msb-42-109 is a start assist relay kit that reduces electrical load on aircraft starter-control circuits. This relay operates the starter contactor, protecting the ignition/start switch from excessive current draw and voltage drop during engine cranking. Installed between the cockpit start switch and starter contactor, the kit extends switch life by distributing electrical stress.
