The pda-5 is a 5-amp thermal circuit breaker from Klixon/Sensata designed for aircraft electrical system protection. This sealed, ignition-protected breaker automatically resets after overcurrent faults clear, restoring power without manual intervention. Installed in distribution and equipment circuits throughout general aviation and corporate aircraft, it prevents electrical damage from short circuits and overloads.
The automatic reset design reduces downtime during fault conditions. Installation must follow the aircraft maintenance manual and 14 CFR 25.1357 requirements for electrical protection systems.
