The S1846-1-3 is a split master rocker switch for aircraft electrical system control. This dual-function switch manages alternator field and battery master circuits on single-engine Cessna aircraft from 1970 onward. Mounted in the cockpit electrical panel, it provides essential power distribution control during preflight and flight operations.
Installation requires the specified bracket and wiring per the aircraft maintenance manual and IPC compatibility verification. The rocker design allows intuitive on/off switching for both circuits.
