The SP90K21 is a split pin (cotter pin) for safetying castellated nuts on drilled bolts in aircraft systems. This steel fastener provides positive mechanical locking by passing through aligned holes in a bolt and nut, then bending back the ends to prevent rotation. Commonly used on flight-control linkages, landing gear assemblies, and engine mounts where AN310 or AN320 castellated nuts require safetying.
Installation follows FAA AC 43.13-1B guidance: insert the pin through the drilled hole, bend both ends back at 90 degrees, and trim excess length to prevent snagging.
