The SSD120 is a solid-state altitude digitizer that converts barometric pressure altitude into digital data compatible with Mode C/S transponders. This encoder receives static line input and outputs altitude information to aircraft transponder systems for radar identification and altitude reporting. Mounted near avionics in the static system, the SSD120 meets FAA TSO-C88a standards for altitude encoding.
