The wl271as1 is a Smiths Industries standby airspeed indicator providing backup airspeed reference when primary flight instruments fail. This 5V AC/DC powered indicator displays airspeed across a 60–380-knot range via pitot-static system inputs. Installed on Hawker 800 and 850XP aircraft, it connects directly to pitot and static pressure lines with specified power wiring.
After installation, instrument calibration and IPC compatibility verification are required per aircraft maintenance manual procedures.
