Product Description
The 101420-01249 is an Aerosonic encoding altimeter providing pressure altitude indication and transponder output for aircraft altitude-reporting systems. This 20,000-foot range instrument displays altitude in inches of mercury and supplies encoder data to Mode C/S transponders for radar tracking. Installed in the pitot-static system, it converts static pressure into altitude readings visible to the flight crew while simultaneously feeding altitude information to avionics.
Installation and testing must comply with 14 CFR 91.411 standards and Part 43 Appendix E procedures to ensure transponder accuracy and airworthiness compliance.
