The 1040 is a LORAN-C sensor that detects and conditions LORAN-C pulse signals for aircraft navigation systems. This front-end sensing element feeds the LORAN-C receiver to compute aircraft position using ground-based radio navigation signals. Installed in legacy aircraft equipped with LORAN-C avionics approved under FAA TSO-C60.
The sensor integrates with existing receiver installations to process incoming pulse data. Installation and testing must follow the applicable avionics maintenance manual and aircraft-approved data.
Please note: Product descriptions are provided for informational purposes. Always refer to your aircraft's Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) to verify part compatibility and specifications.
