The 1248 is a hydraulic pressure relief valve that opens at a preset pressure threshold to protect system components from overpressure. When pressure exceeds the set limit, the valve cracks open and routes excess fluid to the return line, then reseats at a lower pressure point. Used throughout aircraft hydraulic systems—landing gear, flight controls, brakes—to maintain safe operating pressures and prevent component damage.
Installation and pressure adjustment must follow the applicable Aircraft Maintenance Manual and Component Maintenance Manual procedures. Verify compatibility with your aircraft's Illustrated Parts Catalog before installation.
Please note: Product descriptions are provided for informational purposes. Always refer to your aircraft's Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) to verify part compatibility and specifications.

Hydraulic component compatibility depends on the aircraft system design. Common aviation hydraulic fluids include MIL-PRF-5606 (mineral-based), MIL-PRF-83282 (synthetic), and Skydrol (phosphate ester). Verify the VALVE PRESSURE RELIEF against your aircraft maintenance manual for fluid compatibility.
Overhauled and repaired hydraulic components are pressure-tested per manufacturer specifications and include 8130-3 documentation. The VALVE PRESSURE RELIEF is available in: As Removed. Contact us for test documentation on your selected condition.
In-stock hydraulic components ship same business day before 3 PM EST. We provide 24/7 AOG support at (904) 998-9101 for urgent hydraulic system needs. RFQ submissions are typically quoted within 24 hours.
