The 19-78B is a VOR/LOC antenna that receives VHF navigation signals for aircraft instrument approaches. It operates across 108.00–117.95 MHz for VOR navigation and 108.10–111.95 MHz for ILS localizer guidance, feeding signals to the aircraft's NAV/ILS receiver via coaxial cable. Mounted externally on the fuselage, this antenna provides directional guidance during en route navigation and precision instrument landings.
