The 249go-226 is a lower directional TCAS antenna designed for L-band transmission and reception at 1030/1090 MHz. This antenna works in conjunction with an upper directional antenna, TCAS processor, and Mode S transponder to provide traffic surveillance and collision avoidance advisories. Typically mounted on the aircraft fuselage underside, it delivers lower directional coverage for traffic detection.
Installation follows ARINC 735 interface specifications and requires verification against the aircraft's Illustrated Parts Catalog and applicable Supplemental Type Certificates per RTCA DO-185B standards.
