The 249go-227 is a lower directional TCAS antenna designed for ACAS II/TCAS II traffic surveillance systems. This antenna operates in conjunction with the upper antenna to provide complete 360-degree coverage and bearing data for aircraft detection and collision avoidance. Compliant with RTCA DO-185 and FAA TSO-C119 standards, it mounts on the aircraft underside and interfaces directly with the TCAS processor.
Installation follows aircraft maintenance manual procedures and applicable supplemental type certificate (STC) or certification approval data. The antenna transmits and receives interrogation signals for real-time traffic awareness.
