The 39600-5841 is an encoding altimeter that combines a sensitive pressure altimeter with an altitude encoder. It supplies uncorrected pressure altitude data to Mode C/S transponders for ATC reporting. The unit interfaces with the aircraft static system and transponder, conforming to FAA standards TSO-C10b and TSO-C88.
