The AN155-32L is a barrel turnbuckle conforming to AN-standard specifications for aircraft control cable tensioning. This steel component features UNF internal threads accepting right- and left-hand end fittings per AN155 standard, allowing precise cable adjustment during rigging. Installed between cable eyes or forks in primary flight-control runs, the turnbuckle maintains proper tension in elevator, aileron, and rudder systems.
After installation and adjustment, safety wire is applied through the barrel holes to prevent loosening. Rigging and installation follow FAA AC 43.13-1B guidelines and aircraft maintenance manual procedures.
