The cht511 is a thermocouple-style cylinder head temperature (CHT) probe for piston engine monitoring. This sensor installs in a threaded cylinder-head thermowell and transmits temperature data to engine monitoring instruments. Used on general aviation aircraft to track engine thermal performance and detect overheating conditions.
The probe must match your instrument's thermocouple type specification. Installation follows engine monitor instructions and aircraft maintenance manual requirements under ATA Chapter 77. Verify compatibility with your specific engine monitor before installation.
