The dg16305 is a static discharger (static wick) designed to dissipate precipitation static buildup from aircraft surfaces during flight. This Dayton-Granger component reduces radio and navigation interference caused by static electricity accumulation. Mounted on wing and tail trailing edges, the discharger grounds electrical charge safely to the atmosphere.
FAA PMA-approved and qualified to MIL-DTL-9129E standards, it requires proper bonding to aircraft structure per maintenance manual specifications. Installation follows FAA AC 43.13-1B grounding and bonding practices to ensure effective discharge performance.
