The dme-42 is a Collins DME receiver/transmitter for Pro Line II avionics installations. This 3-channel remote-mounted transceiver delivers 300-watt transmitter output and provides slant-range distance data to cockpit displays. The unit interfaces with Collins IND-42A or IND-42C indicators to display range, groundspeed, and time-to-station information.
Installation requires configuration per aircraft maintenance manual and avionics installation instructions, with verification of tuning control compatibility with existing flight deck systems.
