The n2412-12 is a crowbar overvoltage protection module that monitors aircraft electrical bus voltage and responds to regulator faults. During an overvoltage event, it shorts the alternator field circuit to trip the field circuit breaker, protecting avionics and electrical systems from damage. Installed between the alternator field circuit breaker and voltage regulator, this protection device disconnects the charging source when system voltage exceeds safe limits.
Installation follows the aircraft wiring diagram and maintenance manual specifications to ensure proper voltage threshold settings for your aircraft electrical system.
Please note: Product descriptions are provided for informational purposes. Always refer to your aircraft's Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) to verify part compatibility and specifications.
