The s72-1746 is a TCAS I directional antenna with a low-profile teardrop radome and four-element array design. Manufactured by Sensor Systems, this antenna provides collision avoidance signal transmission and reception for TCAS I and Traffic Advisory System (TAS) processors, including L3 Skywatch installations. The unit mounts on the aircraft fuselage and meets FAA TSO-C118, RTCA DO-160C, and MIL-STD-454 compliance standards.
Installation and testing must follow the aircraft's avionics installation manual and applicable Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) or FAA-approved modification data.
