Product Description
The sp122u is a plain washer designed to distribute bearing loads under bolt and nut heads in aircraft structural assemblies. This fastener component spreads pressure across mating surfaces, protecting underlying materials from indentation and damage during tightening. Used under hex nuts when mounting airframe brackets and structural components, the washer also functions as a shim to adjust grip length per assembly requirements.
Installation follows standard practices outlined in FAA AC 43.13-1B and the applicable aircraft maintenance manual, ensuring proper load distribution and fastener reliability.
