The std783 is a 1/4-18 NPT threaded pipe plug designed for Lycoming engine applications. This steel plug seals accessory ports and engine gallery openings with an internal hex (Allen) drive for installation and removal. Commonly used in Lycoming piston engines to close unused threaded ports on the engine block and accessory case.
Installation requires an internal-hex wrench, approved sealant per Lycoming specifications, and torque to manufacturer standards. Verify part compatibility with your engine's Illustrated Parts Catalog before installation.
