The 622-0410-001 is a Collins radio altimeter (ALT-50/860F-2) that measures aircraft height above ground level during approach and landing. This avionics instrument provides real-time altitude data for flight guidance systems and feeds critical information to ground proximity warning systems (GPWS/EGPWS). FAA TSO-C87 certified for low-range radio altimeter applications.
