The cm3589-40 is a 40-amp aircraft circuit breaker providing resettable overcurrent protection in electrical distribution systems. This trip-free device automatically opens when current exceeds 40 amps, protecting wiring and components from damage. Installed in aircraft electrical panels per SAE AS58091 standards, it resets manually after tripping.
